Your holiday property is within easy reach of Glenshee Ski Centre. It has Britain’s most extensive skiing and snowboarding facilities, giving all the excitement and splendour of a winter experience. The season lasts from late December to around Easter, depending on conditions.There are 21 lifts and 36 runs, a mountain café and restaurants, Off Piste skiing, and snowmaking facilities. There are skiing and snowboarding schools, you can hire a private instructor, or even get into race training. On site shops provide clothes and equipment to hire or buy.
From you holiday property Glenshee Ski Centre can by reached, from Perth, by taking the A93 through Blairgowrie, and into the magnificent Glen Shee, with its dramatic mountains. It is only 40 miles away, and you can be at the Glenshee Ski Centre within an hour and a half.

Winter Mountaineering
Your comfortable holiday home is the perfect base for heading out to explore the higher mountains in winter. You can explore the mountains in Glen Shee, or the mountains of the Angus glens, such as the beautiful Glen Glova. Many of the magnificent peaks are more than 800metre high.
The Glen Shee area has Ben Vurich (903m) Glas Tulaichean (1051m), Glas Maol (1068m), and Cairn An Tuirc(1019m) Or from your holiday cottahge you can reach the beautiful Glen Clova, by driving through Dundee, and north to Kirriemuir. Before long you can climb Driesh (947m), Muckle Cairn(829m), or Finbracks (756m).
The Cairngorm Mountains Park is only 10miles north of Glen Shee. The Cairngorm Mountain Park gives you experience of artic habitats at its highest level with the rare wildlife, such as the artic hare and the termagant, that are found there. There are also all the foremost challenges for an experienced winter mountaineer.
