view available properties

From the tranquillity of your holiday house at Newburgh you will experience the golfing holiday of a lifetime. Medieval St Andrew’s, hosting the 2010 British Open Golf tournament, and the ancient home of golf, is only twenty miles (32km) away to the south-east

Carnoustie, the world famous Links course is 27 miles(43km) north-east across the Tay Bridge. Gleneagles Hotel, with the renowned King’s and Queens Courses, is only twenty minutes to the west by motorway. You can have wonderful experience of playing world-class golf, in the most beautiful of surroundings: by wide-open seascapes, or amongst the glens and forests of our ancient country.

In Newburgh you are in the centre of the Historic Heartlands of Perthshire, Angus and Fife, with access to at least 100 golf courses for all levels of ability and enthusiasm. In the Kingdom of Fife there are 40 alone, a number over 100 years old, with all the tradition and beauty that brings.

Tournaments

For those of you who want to see world famous golfers in action at the British Golf Open 2010,  Newburgh is an ideal base. The 20th British Golf Open comes to St Andrews once more in 2010, and Newburgh is a picturesque drive from St Andrews. Some of the qualify rounds for the British Golf Open 2010 are held at Ladybank, a few miles south of Newburgh

In 2014 the wonderful team challenge of Ryder Cup will be played at Gleneagles, only half an hour from your holiday homes at Newburgh, bringing the best players from the USA (Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson) and Europe (Sergio Garcia, Padraig Harrington) within a short drive of your holiday property.

Gleneagles Hotel hosts the PGA Johnnie Walker Championship 26 - 29th August 2010, again an easy drive from your holiday properties at Newburgh. Then annually, close by, there is the world-renowned pro-am Alfred Dunhill Links Tournament (played at Carnoustie, Kingsbarns and St Andrews). You will see the likes of Michael Douglas, or Boris Becker teamed with the best professionals in the world. The Alfred Dunhill Links Tournament is held from October 7 - 10th 2010, and is expected to attract Europe's top golfer this season, Lee Westwood
